YAY for Swimsuit Season

Well, for the kids at least!! Not as excited for myself!

We went a little crazy and went out for some fun on a school night. Fountains, snow cones, frozen yogurt and coldstone! We all wanted something different :).

We had so much fun! Jeremy has been home more this month. Not sure if that is good or bad?! When he's home for a good stretch it sometimes means business is slow. Hopefully not :)!

I picked up these cute suits for the girls at Sears Lands End for 50% off!!

And........this is a bit random, but while at the shopping center I walked into Gymboree and the girl working (who may know me and is super sweet) was so excited to tell me that the whole store is 12.99 or less. I had just told the girls we needed to get a couple new dresses for church and a couple end of the year school activities. I put a few on hold because I didn't have my 20% off coupon so we will go back tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know if you like Gymbo as much as we do.

Flowers

Jeremy and the kids bought me some pretty flowers for the yard for Mother's Day and I just love them. Flowers make me happy.

This weekend my Mom took me to get some flowers for the big planter by the stair going up to the house. I wasn't sure what to do with that area. We planted some perennials and a few annuals. I am excited to see them bloom. My Dad did most of the planting and Jeremy mulched. I do like to plant, but my allergies are crazy out of control right now (as are Abby's and Jake's) so I sat in a chair and watched and watered.

B's Fan Club

Every Friday I am a "lunch mom". I look forward to it and it is probably a highlight for the girls too. Cara loves to buy her lunch and eat with her buddies. Abby seems to enjoy it too. One little boy in Cara's class always sits by her and makes her laugh :).

Jake really likes for me to come and he absolutely loves for me to park B in his stroller next to him. The first few minutes I keep him with me because he is such a big distraction, but after that I usually will let him sit by Jake with me close by.

Today was a very big day for our little guy. He had a whole class full of second graders cheering for him and clapping while he showed off his newest skill.......WALKING!! I almost cried right there. He is so loved by all of our family, but also by so many other people. We are at school so often he's got his own little fan club. It was so fun for Jake to be so proud! His teacher said he often thanks God for his foster brother duringy prayer time.

I am also feeling a little jealous of Jeremy. B says Da Da really well and tonight he was looking all around and yelling Da Da and got all excited when Jeremy came over to pick him up. For awhile I was hearing Mama, but now B is calling me BOB. I have no idea why. Everytime I say Mommy or Mama he will look at me and say Bob and smile.

My Life as a Multi-Tasker

Or the day I gave the neighbors a show......

For the last few days the same person has called right around 5:00. It is a nice younger guy wanting to do a survey. Monday he caught me as I was serving dinner to the kids (mine + 2). Yesterday he caught me while we were playing outside and it was loud. Today, he caught me while Jake, Blake, Abby and Abby were outside and little B was with me in my room while I was getting dressed for Zumba. I said, "Oh, you caught me and it's quiet!"

I thought what the heck I'll do his little survey since the poor guy has called three days in a row. Well, it was a political survey which I don't mind but the questions were very long and multiple choices....LOTS of choices. So many that I couldn't remember them all by the time he was ready for my answer! Around question #3 kids started lingering in the house and they were getting louder. I tried to point them towards the door.

B was getting a little rowdy himself and I was still trying to finish getting dressed. All of a sudden I hear screaming from the front yard and it sounded like someone was hurt really bad. I grab B and run down the stairs and out the door in my undies. As I'm running I say something like, "Seriously.......I'm sorry.....I get no free time around here!" Ha!! The man says, "I can hear that you have a lot going on, ma'am...." Um, you think??

No ONE was HURT. For real. The screaming was just 4 year old drama.

And the best part, no one seemed to care that I was in my undies. Nope, not a single little person thought it was odd that I ran out the door in a tee and undies. They just looked at me like this hapens everyday.

Not even the neighbor boy.

My life is so fun! My poor neighbors.

Blogging

We are all well. I just can't think of a thing to say....big surprise, I'm sure.

School is busy. Kids are good and enjoying the last few weeks of school. We are ready for summer and counting down the days!!

Field trips, picnics, parties etc.....all fun. Jeremy went to the Zoo with Jake's class and to the children's museum with Cara's. He's making up for it now with some late nights and day trips, but it was worth it. One of the kids from Jake's class wrote him a note that said, "Mr. D rocks!!" with a cute guy playing the guitar.

Speaking of notes....I had one on the door for me last night when I arrived home from Zumba.

"Dear Mom, I hope you had a good time at Zumba. Me and B missed you. I love you sooooo much!!!"
 ~ Jake

I had driven to school and left him a pretty long note in his lunchbox yesterday after a bit of a grumpy Monday morning. I am trying to speak positive truths to my kiddos even when I have to be creative. I am so trying to do this....

For example, I wrote, "I know you will have a great day because you are so kind and have a tender heart." Anyhow, he has been a sweet, sweet boy the last couple days. He even yelled across the street yesterday that he loved my new dress I had on :).

I have been telling Cara things like, "I know you will do great in your program because you are so brave!" Ha Ha...we will see if that works. She and I have been learning verses on not being afraid. I really hope she gets up on that stage and sings. She just loves to sing and I would hate for her to miss out because fear holds her back.

Well, that's all I've got. I guess I did have something to say...in a bit of a random way :).

Hope you are having a good week!

More Sarasota Pics

Here are a few more pictures from vacation..........wishing we were still there! Both of my sister-in-laws flew out with my nieces. One of my brothers was able to come for about a day and a half! It was one of my favorite vacations EVER. Love, love, love seeing all the cousins playing. Jake was crazy about the baby girls. B was awesome. He slept in his little crib all night and took his naps everyday. We always say that he just likes to be a part of everything. He is a classic last child and doesn't want to miss out.

Favorite picture of the week - - all the grandkids with Mimi and Grandpa! So fun to be all together. Thankful that Heidi and Tiffany were able to come with us.

Dad took at least one baby if not all for little walks during dinner meals when they got restless. I heard that one of the girls would say, "go go" because she wanted to go too. So cute!

Jake fishing and girls watching. He loves to fish!!

 He caught one!

It's going to be a fun summer! Two of our friends from church joined the pool. We are counting down the days!!! Abby is a little fish. I am trying to talk Cara into swimteam, but wondering if we could get her off the block?!

Thanks Grandpa and Mimi for another FUN vacation!!
XOXOX
