Tangled or Things that are Making me Laugh
This picture is going to bring me a lot of laughs for a long time! Abby is a BIG TIME fan of the movie Tangled. She used her Easter money to buy the hair. Yesterday after she got it, she stood at the edge of the yard yelling to the neighbor girl (also named Abby and also 4) about her new Rapunzel hair!! I hope it holds up because in typical Abby fashion she is a little obsessed with it :).

Happy Easter
I am thankful for the message at church today about our HOPE in Christ because of what He did for us.

We're Back
It was such a bummer to leave the beach this year! Cousin time with Holly Anne and Allie was a blast for our kids. So. Much. Fun.
Here's a few pics until I can get them all uploaded.

My Little Entrepreneur
Jake got in the car at pick-up today and said, "Well, I've got $12 now." I asked him how he had $12 because we had just been shopping last Wednesday and he spent some money on a new lego kit. He said, "well, I sold "I" one of my lego guys for $6 so now I have $12." ME - "Didn't you want it?? Jake - "sometimes I get tired of them so I sell them so I can get the new ones I want."
Well, okay.
We get home and he ask to use my laptop. I get it out for him and he ask to get on Amaz on. He pulls up the guys he wants. It is total with shipping $12.02 and he pays me. Seriously....he's 8?!
I'm kind of proud of him for figuring out how to get something he wants without expecting me to pay for it. I don't think you are supposed to be selling toys during school hours so I told him not too, but hey, I have heard him yelling out prices for the neighbor boys lately.

Tangled & More
We absoluted loved the movie Tangled. It was so cute and the girls have already memorized most of the music. They like to play parts of the movie with each other and they sing the songs that go with that particular scene. We really haven't even watched it that much.
Abby was super excited when we picked up this little dress a couple weeks ago and she wears it a lot. It has become the new blue tutu skirt :).
While we are on the subject of Abby. She is really so sweet. When anyone ask her to do something she almost always says a happy "sure." Tonight she and Cara forgot something she made at my Mom's house and Cara asked her if she would run in and get both. She said, "sure" and ran in. I said to Jake and Cara, "Abby sure is nice to you two." "Yep, she's kinda like our servant" said Jake. Then, he said, "sometimes I think about how young she is to be so nice and it brings tears to my eyes..." HAHAHAHA!!! I don't know if he was being serious or trying to get me to not lecture the two of them on how they should be nice to each other and her. I did notice that one of them tried a little harder when they observed my affirmation to Abby for her kind heart :).

Cara has an aversion to socks going on...it kinda runs in the family. For now, I have given up that battle and bought the girl some cute pink high tops to wear with her uniforms and I think she looks super cute in them.
She also decided she likes school. Did I mention that?? Yes, just when I was ready to homeschool she says, "I think I'm finally getting used to school." Awesome, since we only have 7 weeks left :).

And B is basically all over the place. His biggest goal for the day is sneaking through/around/over baby gates to climb the stairs. Here's the little stinker climbing up to get into my stuff.
And Jake is doing great too. He had a really good report card. Half of it is academic and the other half is character. I was so proud of him for the good reports on the character side. He has really matured and come a long way from making fart noises in Kindergarten :). Now that I'm a lunch mom, I realize that boys make fart noises for years to come so I guess I shouldn't have been so stressed when his teacher told me he made "turd balls" out of play do and made farting noises. It makes me crack up now!!

Visit to the nursing home
I took the kiddos to visit my Grandma yesterday. I am trying to take them about once a week so they get used to the place. They get a little nervous with all the residents wanting to talk to them and give them hugs. They are not extremely willing to give out hugs to strangers, but they are polite and friendly. Can you guess which of my kids did give out a hug?? Jake...yes, Jake. I was super proud of him!
This home is really nice and my Grandma seems very happy there. When we arrived yesterday she was at the worship service all dressed up. She also really enjoyed seeing B. He looks really big to me in this picture. He was happy to be there, but he is usually happy to be anywhere we are :)! He's a go with the flow kind of guy.
