This Little Girl

is HILARIOUS!! She makes us laugh every single day.

Did you know if you throw a tantrum and cover your face, it doesn't count???

Blue lips, swinging and band aids sum up her pool time.

She's loving her new bike ... here she is getting some chips out of the back and taking

a quick snack break.

off she goes because she has to keep up with her big sister.

Love them both so much.

Abby's New Bike

We didn't want Abby to feel left out since we are all enjoying our bikes so we headed to Wal-Mart and found her the PERFECT tricycle! I say perfect because as we all know she's our little collector and loves a good place to store her stuff :).

She had to use a hand me down helmet but she was set to go!

She LOVES her new bike and says, "It's mine, Mom, not CAWA's" over and over.

Hooray for Cara!!

To our surprise, Cara mastered riding her bike over the weekend. I think Jake encouraged her to try it without training wheels. Jeremy took them off, somewhat reluctantly, and then spent the next few hours outside running around holding onto the back of her bike. She did not give up and worked so hard to prove that she too could ride without help... like Jake! She practiced Friday night and Saturday. This morning, she was first up (as usual) and enjoyed breakfast with Jeremy and then more one-on-one bike time with him. By the time the rest of us rolled out of bed she was starting herself and riding in circles with an occasional "trick" of taking her feet off and gliding!!

We were actually a little bit surprised at how she persevered. She is so proud of herself. I jokingly said we should have a cake to celebrate her accomplishment since Cara is always up for a good cake! She said, "Yes, with a bike on it, please :)!"

Just a quick little note - - I am really thankful for Jeremy. He really enjoys helping the kids learn new things. Even though it took a lot of his time walking/running/bending over to keep that little girl from crashing over and over, he didn't seem to mind. He was up early this morning for day 3 of "bike practice" and never got frustrated, tired, or too sweaty! This is turning out to be a big summer for her with lots of accomplishments and it seems to be boosting her confidence. Do you think she might actually go to preschool without any tears??

Good Morning

How could it not be a good morning with this cutie??

Up late tonight preparing for a showing. Both of the houses I liked sold last week so I wonder where we will go if we end up selling soon...

Jeremy traveled to Texas earlier this week and got home just in time to help me get things cleaned up. Jake had a swim meet last night and did well. He is not enjoying the actual swimming part, but does like the treats at the meets! Cara is thinking that she would like to be called "Caraline" because it is her real name, and Abby and I are not feeling good. I have an ear infection and sinus problems and Abby has a very runny nose and tells me she's "tired".

Ready, Set, Go

This is a picture of Cara and her best pool buddy, Ellie, jumping of the diving board!! Can you believe how brave she is getting! I am so happy for her (and thankful for Ellie). Ellie is quite bossy, but it has been a real plus for me. Cara has learned how to swim and has gotten much braver at the pool. It is a great summer so far!!

Here they are last summer -

Hope you are having a great summer too!

Just Swimmin'

Can you tell we are loving our new float?? Too bad she's not into using it in the swimming pool :)! Such a funny girl...

I have another one of her using it as a potty seat on the toilet!
