Green Eggs and Pancakes
Last night Jeremy and the kids had green eggs and green pancakes for dinner in honor of St. Patrick's Day, or maybe just for fun!

Bowling Fun
I took the kids bowling after we picked Jake up from school on Friday. Just me and them and it was fun! Jake still wants me to sign him up for bowling lessons, but I haven't found a place that has them for his age.
This trip to the bowling alley was particularly fun because we were assigned a row next to the special olympics practice. The people next to us enjoyed the kids and were very helpful. One sweet girl found us a small 6 lb. ball because she thought it might work best for Cara and Abby and a nice young man kept coming over and yelling "move your fingers" whenever someone got too close to the ball return :)!! It was great!
Abby was the funniest bowler of all this day! Her ball took FOREVER to make it down the lane, but when it did she turned around and did a jump and yelled "YES" every single time!
OH MY...she's a funny girl!

Still Alive
We are still alive...have you been wondering?? Moving was harder than I anticipated (even though we only moved down the street and around the corner). It was a lot of work. We decided to go ahead and move in right away and hold off on any updating/repairs. The house is completely livable and we are very thankful to have it.
I am sorry I haven't put any pictures up. I will. I haven't had much time to take any. I do have one of the room we are using for our play room. There is also a tv and my desk/computer in there. It is our favorite room to be in except that right now the heater is broken and it is pretty chilly.
Here is the girls room painted in the color Cara picked. It needs some decorating, but they seem to like it.
Below is a picture of our "Thanks for working so hard" party for Jeremy. We baked a cake and made cards for him last night. The kids are always excited about a party so this was a fun treat. Jeremy is under a huge amount of stress at work and we wanted to let him know we appreciate him.
Pray for us if you think about it. We are dealing with some stuff and learning more about really trusting God. We say we trust Him, but to actually be in a place where you have to is a harder and humbling.

January
January has been a fun month so far. Vacation was great (will get some pictures up soon) and then we had a week were I pretty much couldn't do anything but try to get caught up from being gone. This week is going great. I always love when Jake and Cara are off school. We went to Target for lunch yesterday (the kids enjoy the little Pizza Hut in there) and then I took them bowling. The four of us had a great time together! I really do enjoy being out and about with them. Jake impressed us with his bowling and he is now begging me to take bowling lessons. He is so excited about it...sure hope somewhere local has a league for kids or he will be pretty disappointed.
After a fun afternoon, we got Abby ready for her first ballet class. She was eager to go in the class, but they brought her out at the end and told me how cute and sweet she was and then they said, "but she didn't do a single thing. She just stood there and watched." Ha!! This is pretty much what she does everytime she goes alone (without me or her siblings). Then, they told me to give her a few months and try again. I felt kind of embarrassed, like I was pushing her to do ballet at 3. Typical of myself, I told them how she was a third child and wanted to do what her sister did...blah, blah, blah (Jeremy always tells me that people really don't care about all these details). Then she says super loud, "I don't like that ballet class."
Sure enough we get home and she tells me that they danced to a Jasmine song. She started dancing around the kitchen and told me she was doing the "moves"! Goodness, girly?!
Cara has been loving preschool and told me the other day that she has a boyfriend. I said so is he a boy that is your friend and she said yes. However, our sweet, shy little girl got moved to a different seat because she and her little friend were hugging too much...
Jeremy has been BUSY as usual. Praying this economy improves soon so that things can be a little less crazy for his work life. I love him and appreciate him, but do miss him when he is gone before we get up and home after we go back to bed. I can't complain (even though sometimes I do!). He enjoys his work and he has a job...both good things right now.
Here's a bad picture of us from vacation...it makes me laugh. He's trying to be funny because I am so stinkin' tired in this picture! Kids were making me a little NUTTY at this point all crammed into the booth. I felt just a tad bit TRAPPED! I don't really like to be in a long booth like that. The kids have tons of room and they still sit RIGHT next to ME and eat my FOOD. (How many 3 year olds like calamari BTW)? I finally got someone to move so I could sit next to my man for a picture and he does this and I close my eyes. Ah the memories!
Here's a better one. We had breakfast at a beautiful hotel near Disney and it was so much fun. We saw Stitch and Mickey and the food was delicious!! Oh, and I marched in a parade with my Aunt. That's the great thing about Disney...you can act goofy because you don't know anybody.
We pretty much wore 4 layers everyday this trip...long sleeve shirt, short sleeve shirt, hoodie and winter coat! We had a washer in the room so we just washed our jeans and hoodies every night.
You probably want to see pictures of the kids. I have LOTS and will get them up soon. They had fun too :).

I can't believe that our days in this house (that I brought all my babies home to) are almost up. Such a strange feeling, but also exciting!! Oh, and another reason I like my neighborhood so much...you can leave the garage door up all day (accidentally) and come home 12 hours later and nothing happens (except all your neighbors try to hunt you down to let you know). Not that we've done that?! It's a good feeling :)

Funny things they say
We were driving back to our hotel tonight and having a deep discussion about money (Ha-- as deep as you get with a 7, 5 and 3 year old), being selfish, etc... Basically, I was annoyed with one of my children crying about not getting something. We talked about what the Bible says about it being better to give than receive and Jake said he knew something about money from the Bible too. He remembered hearing about the verse that talks about the love of money being the root of all evil. Then we heard him say, "well, I don't love money. Cara do you love money?" She said, "no, I don't love money." Then, before we could say anything, Abby blurts out, "well, I like money!"
Goodness. I try, really, I do! Never fail...every time we get to thinking that we are doing a good job with a serious discussion somebody has to go and make us laugh really hard!

We're Moving
If all goes well, we will be moving soon...
I guess you could say we don't go all out with change...
NEW HOUSE
They look kind of similar, don't they?? I loved my bow window and was so sad to leave it. Now I have one again.
There are a lot of things we like about this house, but mostly, we are excited to have a finished basement where friends can stay when they visit, 3 toilets to eliminate the problems we have when all the kids have to go at the same time, and the invisible fence for our new puppy. It has a beautiful addition on the back too. All I can say is THANK YOU LORD FOR SPACE. The main level has living room/dining room/kitchen (needs a lot of work) and a large addition off the dining room that we really love. It will be great for entertaining and for the kids when they get older and have friends over. There is a finished basement/bath downstairs. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 1/2 baths. Then, we have a walk-up attic that we plan on finishing with a master bed/bath and office.
The owner has been extremely generous. We are actually buying it for what he owes and he threw in the new riding mower AND will let us move in early if we get the renovations done rent-free. Crazy, huh?! We are thankful and excited!
