Holly Anne

Sweet little Holly Anne arrived this morning and we are all so excited! She is adorable and I can't wait to hold her. I am flying out to see her Thursday morning and I can hardly wait. Jeremy has worked his butt off the last couple of days making this happen for me. He went somewhere yesterday (can't even remember where!) and Indiana today and Kentucky tomorrow!! Then, he has the children for 3 days all by himself. I know they will have a great time and I am going to try to not miss them too much so I can enjoy this time with my brother, sister-in-law and Holly. To say that I am excited to have a new little one to love would be a big understatement. AND, in no time at all there will be two sweet girls to love and spoil!

Disney on Ice

Last night the five of us went to Disney on Ice. It was a last minute decision and I am so glad we were able to get seats. In fact, we only paid $10 a seat and we were in the last row and we still could see everything. We have all been talking about it today and how much fun we had. Cara said, "Mommy, that was a good decision!". Ha!! Love it! It was so, so fun and I am so glad that we let lose and went on a school night...totally worth it. I wish I could take them again. It was that good.

They were totally engaged and watched the entire show with such happiness!

Random Cute Pictures

I was organizing some pictures and here are a couple cute ones that I found.

I love this one, even thought it is of their backs. So typical...Abby following Cara. Don't they look like they have somewhere to be?!

This one is also so typical of Abby. Unmatched clothes/jammies. Both pieces are Cara's. I can hear Abby saying, "can I borrow them, Cara?"

I love this little guy who is growing into a big little guy!

Here are these two cuddling before school. She loves her big brother!

This was the day Cara got her hair cut. She's a cutie!

Thankful for these little people today! They are so special to us.

Happy Birthday to You!!!

Today is Jeremy's 35th birthday so I thought I would post 35 reasons why we love him.

1. He is kind to us.
2. He is kind to others.
3. He gives generously.
4. He is funny.
5. He takes really great care of us.
6. He works hard.
7. He likes to do the dishes.
8. He doesn't mind running to the grocery store for me. In fact, I think he goes more than me. Only problem is he typically comes home with more than was on the list.
9. He is a good friend.
10. He tries to take good care of himself and encourages me to do the same.
11. He encourages me in my endeavors.
12. He likes to laugh.
13. He is a very good Daddy to our children.
14. He is good at playing with the kids.
15. He is always up for an evening at the park.
17. Even though he works long hours, he makes it a priority to be at important events for the kids. Sometimes just being there to pick them up speaks volumes to them that they are special!
18. He is a very cute Field trip Dad!! I think he was actually the only Dad to drive on almost all the field trips last year.
19. He encourages me to spend time with my friends and family.
20. He remember things that are special to me and sometimes brings me small gifts (like Reese's Pieces).
21. He makes me coffee more than I make it for him. He knows I wake up easier to the smell of coffee so he makes it for me on his way out. I love him for that one!!
22. He quickly forgives.
23. He has grown in patience over the last few years.
24. He sleeps on the side of the bed by the door so I don't have to b/c I am a chicken. This way the robbers would get him first :)!
25. He will often get up at night to a crying child. He didn't used to, but boy has he gotten better at this over the years.
26. He is very kind when the kids are sick. He is great at cleaning up puke, poop and other yucky stuff!
27. He makes each of our children feel special.
28. He is extremely affectionate with our kids. They know that their Daddy loves them!
29. He is a good neighbor. Always willing to lend a hand or a listening ear. Sometimes he goes outside and doesn't come back for awhile. Then later I realize he's been over at the neighbors talking!
30. He still leaves his clothes on the floor every single morning for me to pick up...but I love him anyways!
31. He lets our kids know how much he loves me.
32. He is always nice to store clerks. Even when they goof he never gets upset. Love that about him!
33. I always enjoy listening in on a conversation with a client...he sounds so smart (and he is!).
34. I love that when he smiles the wrinkles around his eyes show!
35. I enjoy that he can laugh without making any noise! Cracks me up!!

So, there you have it...35 reasons why I love my man!! He is a great husband and a wonderful Daddy.

Love you, Jeremy! I will keep picking up your clothes in the bathroom and you can keep making me my coffee :).

Could it be??

We are thinking Abby might be our child to get a great big plus sign for orderly on her report card. Check out those markers...

She is our only child so far who puts the correct lid on the colors. Don't they look nice all lined up :).

Buddies

Can't you tell these two like each other?? Cara has really been missing her pool friend, E. She asks me to call her Mommy everyday to see if she can play. So, on Friday we had her over for a few hours. We may have to make a pre-school transfer if things don't go well! E goes to a school down the street from Cara's. It's not my favorite, but if it makes her want to go we might just have to do it.

I told Jeremy that I think Cara is like me. I get in a bit of a funk when I haven't been able to be with friends for awhile. There's nothing better than good friends!

Cara's First Day of Pre-School

This morning was Cara's pre-school open house. I was supposed to go with her for an hour to meet her teachers, see her classroom and find out what school is going to be like.

Her teachers are very sweet. One was Jake's teacher and the other goes to our swim club. They both greeted her by name and knew some things about her already. It is a great school and I think that she might eventually like it. So far, not so much. It is sad. I am praying for a sweet little friend for her.

We will go again on Monday and I will pull up and the teachers will come get her. Pray that it goes well. It will be hard not to bring her home. Cara has always had a hard time going alone, but once she is there and gets used to it, she seems to enjoy herself and have fun.

Love you, Caraline! I know how you feel. I had a hard time going to school too. I missed my Mom a whole lot. In fact, I still have a hard time with change. I know you will be a kind friend and enjoy learning lots of new things!!
